ZINE: So — Android, web, fifteen-plus jobs, a memoir about riding a motorcycle from Arizona to Argentina. What's the thread?

BILL: Honestly? Curiosity and a high tolerance for legacy code. I started in .NET doing CRM systems for a dairy company in Wisconsin. Then I rode 20,000 miles solo through Central and South America for eight months and wrote a book about it. Came back, pivoted to mobile, and have been shipping Android apps at scale ever since — currently at eBay, before that New Relic, before that Cvent.

ZINE: Any regrets?

BILL: None that survived the trip.
